FARINGDON TOWN YOUTH FC

The U13's have made the semi-final of the Supplementary Cup where they will face League B champions Abingdon Colts after giving Grove Challengers the run around in a 12-1 win.

Needing to win by 5 clear goals to finish runners up in their group the game was never in doubt once Harry had got the boys underway with a long range effort.

Everyone played well with the goals coming from Louis Butler (3), Seb Allum (3), Harry Platt (2), Joseph Adcock (2), Richard Cole (penalty) and Joe Timms.

The U9's reached the final of the Coleshill 6-a-sides only to lose to Liden 2-1, the winning goal a very dubious penalty.

The team won 2, drew 1 and lost 1 of their group games with goals from Dominic (2), Samuel and DJ.
In the QF they won 1-0 with a Joey penalty after Dominic had been pulled down.
The SF went to penalties after finishing 1-1, Dominic scoring. Dominic then kept us in the tournament scoringthe important 3rd penalty to make it 1-1 on pens before Josh became the hero first saving the next penalty before stepping up to score the winner himself.
The final was a close game with Liden taking the lead half way through the second half. However straight from the kick off Dominic ran through teir defence to equalise but it wasn't to be with the award of a soft penalty.

The U9's had a magnificent 2-1 away win at second in the table Oxford City Colts on Saturday.

The whole team played well with goalkeeper Josh winning Man of the Match and two goals from Dominic securing victory.

The U13's came from behind 3 times to beat Cholsey 4-3 and climb off the bottom of the table. Goals from Seb Allum, Louis Butler (2) and Dan Hunda (with 2 minutes to go) secured the victory. Excellent displays from all 12 players.

The U16's moved into the quarter-finals with a 2-1 win against Westwood Wanderers.

The U13's reached the next round of the Cup after winning 2-1 away at Grove Challengers.

They led 1-0 at half time through an excellent goal created by Dan Hunda and Liam Anderson with Sam Robins finishing off from inside the 6 yard box.

Victory was secured when Seb Allum broke from the back then threading a ball through to Dan who managed to round the goalkeeper before sliding the ball into an empty net.

Grove scored a consolation goal with just seconds left.
